I'm trying to post up a photo of my new 59 re-issue but the forum won't load it saying "either took too long to load or too large". Has anyone had this before? Any tips on how I can get the picture up with the minimum of fuss? I'm using a Mac in case that has a bearing in the matter.
Thanks,
Mike.

upload to photobucket or similar, underneath the picture in photobucket you are given several links including one with URL tags in square brackets that will display it as a picture when the link is included in your message

How big is the image?
Our limit is 10MB, but due to a server modification, it may have dropped back to 2MB?
I'll have a bit of an investigation.

Photobucket is my favourite for this

Ol, the picture is 4.8 mb. I can't work out how to shrink it but if you could the limit back up to 10mb that should solve the problem. Thanks, Mike.

Picasa is available for the Mac, it's free and it's made by Google so it's safe to install.
Open your pic in the editor and select File - Export picture to folder, set the Resize to about 800 pixels and hit OK, the exported image will be well under 2 megs.

Frank, banging advice my Brother. Picasa was a joy to use. As a result my photo is now displayed under the "New 59 VOS Les Paul" post. Many thanks to everyone for their help here.

I have fixed the 2MB limit so it is again back to 10MB.
