Title: Mid-gain blues/fusion soloing with the Holy Diver bridge
Post by: Nolly on February 26, 2010, 05:12:18 PM
Hey guys,

I just made a video cover of Brett Garsed's solo in the Planet X version of Alien Hip-Hop.

The guitar is Vigier Excalibur Ultra Blues, with a Holy Diver and pair of Trilogy Suites, into my Axe-FX.

Like it, really nice playing.

Didn't know you had acquired a Holy Diver - did you ever post your impressions of it versus the CBomb/PK etc that you've had in your other guitars?

Cheers Antag! I didn't really mention having it on here at all.. honestly the way I use the Vigier is completely different to the more metal fiddles I own, so it's very difficult to draw comparisons to the other pickups. I really like it though, it has a wonderful smoothness in the high end (I should add that my HD has double screw poles), and a fat midrange that means it sounds amazing for leads. It'd certainly be interesting to put one in a downtuned metal axe and see how it holds up.
