Title: Rockman Guitar Compressor
Post by: Frank on February 27, 2010, 12:53:52 AM
Shifting some gear from one rack to another and having a cleanup today, I just remembered I had an old half rack SR&D Rockman compressor stuffed in a box somewhere, bought then forgotten about and not even powered up in 15 years or so. Seemed like a good time to give it a test ... good grief, why did I ever stop using it? This thing is exceptionally good! It cleans up the clean sounds and dirties up the dirty sounds without getting insanely noisy.

A bit of internetting reveals they're not too common, only 2350 ever made and they're "becoming sought-after". So the moral of the story is rummage through those boxes of forgotten equipment and see if you've got an old classic gathering dust.

I thought that they were always considered pretty desirable, and becoming ever more so. *scratch ears*
