wanna replace the screws on my jackson as they all got rust and some have almost no grip left on them
basically replacing the ones in the pick guard, pickup rings and the longer ones that hold the pickups to the pickup rings
probably a silly question but with all the variable on screws, what's best way to work out what I need?

Wipe the $%ing thing down before you put it away you spanner. It will be why the pole pieces on your invader have a red beard on them as well (see what I did there, I even tied it in with you avatar!).
What I'd do it remove one of them and take it to your local iron monger and ask 'hey mate, have you got any of these in stainless steel as I'm a sweaty oink?'
If they don't fit exactly I wouldn't worry too much about it as you may find there's a small difference in metric and imperial if it's a US Jackson. You can always make the holes bigger or smaller if needs be.

Ok - just to add that you can't get the right screws at a hardware store - you wil want to go to somewherethat stocks guitar hardware like us or WD Music etc.
There are specific humbucker ring screws and pickguard screws (2 sizes - Fender and Gibson - Fender are bigger)

And start using some of this:

Botox works as well.

And don't go for the cheepest. I've seen/got some really shoddy monkey metal ones in the past. Looked cr@p before I'd even finished screwing them in.

just had a look at WD Music, the screws on my pick guard, actually I suppose it's more of a scratch plate, anyway, the fender screws have a curved head look different to mine which are flat :/
update: just took a screw out and measured it, diameter of the pick guard/scratch plate ones looks like it has a 2mm thread rather than a 2.5mm of the fender, but I am using a tape measure
