That's a crazy cheap price!

What model amp is supposed to be similar to?

That looks gorgeous !  :D

I love the aesthetics and general layout of that .  Very retro for playing that lovely Eastman of yours through. I'd love to gig with that and one of my Jazz boxes.  Great find !   :)

That's a ridiculously good bargain! Stuff with blue LEDs always looks more expensive as well. Where did you get it from?

Agreed :   I changed the jeweled bulb lens on my Fender Twin to a blue one - and the improvement in tone was noticeable.  Blue bulbs are the 'go faster stripes' of the discerning amp owner.  :)

Well I didn't have to search far to find what the exterior was based on. Internally I don't know. It's got 3x 12ax7 and 2x el84's.  It has normal and bright inputs both sound great. 2 channels both sound great. A boost which gives a real character change. Digi reverb which is v good. All the controls work beautifully and musically from one extreme to the other as in the old cliche "you can't get a bad sound out of it". And a further character change is available via the pentode/triode switch. I love all the cleans, the crunches and the drives I've got out of it. It'll turn down whisper quiet and still sound great and I turned up to about 3/4 vol and nearly had the windows out. (22 valve watts).

Now the bad news, it is running very hot and I'm on my third fuse so something's up. Which is a pain in the arse, but I'll get it sorted or replaced. I'm not looking anywhere else for an amp.

Oh and I got it from Soundslive, they do a 7 day cooling off period so if you don't like you can send it back.

well it's gotta be good if it's got t3h soul of valves...

Looks pretty sharp, though, nicer than the usual old black box.  Never tried them, so have no idea how they sound... :)

Pardon the nosiness, but where's selling them at that price? I'm considering the V55 head. Bargainous at RRP, but, y'know...

A friend of mine has been raving about them. I am sure he said he got a 5w amp so it may not be the same one.

Ooh. I see the V55 head is the same price. That's bloody tempting, that. I'd ideally like to try one first.

If they could make them sound like the matchless!

nice :)

although the overheating thing is a little worrying.

i'm guessing the V55 is based on a Fender, anyone know which one?

what i've heard about Bugera tends to be that they sound great, but have had a fair few reliability issues.
