Title: Anyone from Hertfordshire ?
Post by: Dazza1004 on March 09, 2010, 11:24:15 AM: Have been offered a job in Stevenage so am considering relocating.

Hitchen is nice (+ good guitar shop) but seems a bit pricey, I have had a look around Royston / Buntingford which seem quite nice. Key thing for me is good schools for the kids and a nice place for them to grow up, where else I should consider ?

edit: I think Steve may actually be Hatfield way?

(I come from Hitchin btw and would never go back - all of North Hertfordshire is like groundhog day to me)

The town centre is completely soulless, but it's not a bad place to live. Nice and quiet.

Post by: Johnny Mac on March 09, 2010, 10:07:17 PM: I think Hertford is a lovely place. You can get to Stevenage through the country lanes from there. Loads of pubs, canal boats and restaurants in Hertford. Mainline into London and good roads there too.
