Well..... I phoned them but I ended up buying something else.... :|
-

-
NGD later this week, but it begins with P and ends with S.
-
so prs then
-
You got it! But not a really expensive one.
-
only really saw the korina and the Tremonti at lower end did I miss one
-
Mira X.
I know they don't appeal to everyone, but they've really grown on me, I like plain simple guitars. And I can't be bothered waiting forever for PRS to do a 22-fret Mira with a wide-fat neck.

Don't tempt fate Philly. I can see PRS releasing one of those now!
-
You're probably right! But they've done the Mira mapletop and the korina one, still 24 frets... then the Mira 245 with P-90s, that's 22 frets but still no wide-fat (which was a surprise).
I just have a feeling that now Joe Knaggs has left PRS they'll start phasing out his designs (unless they're big sellers of course!)
But in any case, the Mira X is interesting because it has different timbers, I have so many mahogany guitars!
-
Sexy looking guitar shame it is not left handed.
As for you philly congrats looking forward to seeing the picture of your new guitar. :P

what dif does the x bit make

what dif does the x bit make
Quite a lot!
The Mira is all mahogany with a rosewood board, the Mira X has a very light "African basswood" body (actually obeche, apparently), "sipo" mahogany neck and pau ferro board.
Construction-wise, the Mira has 24 frets, wide-thin or regular neck and a contoured body; the Mira X has 22 frets, wide-fat neck and a slab body. Pickups are the same but the Mira X doesn't have coil-splits. And finally the Mira X has vintage style tuners - which I like! :D

Going back to the Duesenberg, those are nice guitars!
On the Wishbone Ash 40th anniversary DVD, Andy Powell uses a Duesenberg (not sure which model) on a couple of songs and I really noticed the difference in tone - it sounds much better than his Vs, to be honest.
-
mmm not selling that one well to me sounds like the x takes all the things I like away...still take the Duesy I think.....unless they do a nice gretsch
-
Have a few guitars that all sound great in own ways..last practice used the Duesy again and thought yeah...this is main gig guitar....has a great tone....unmodded. Cleans crisp clear not dark or muffled like some LP's. Add some drive and wow hold a note for days really does sing. great versatility of sounds with the p90 neck.
Great guitar, always stays in tune..even in very cold practice rooms. Great fast neck easy to play doesn't tire my old hands.
The 49er is not the lightest is up there with un weight relief'ed LP, if you like the sound but not the weight the starplayer tv is a great option(another on my list of wants)..sorry could go on for a while but am already using dodgy terms so will stop now
-
I'm very interested in that 52 Senior model!
-
yeah has peaked my interest if it does all it says...and has as good a neck as my Duesy then it shall be mine.....trying to find one to try
-
That 49er is very nice indeed. They seem to be very well priced guitars - maybe I should try one out one day. When I have some cash of course.
-
yeah mine came up for silly money..was around £400...was a case of buy me now....
