Hi everyone,
Sorry to make my first post on the forum a question but here goes.
I recently accquired a single Irish Tour pickup, how can I determine which one it is so that I can buy the other two to make up the set?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Take a DC reading across the white and black leads. The neck and middle are around 6.5K.

Also does it have a dot sticker on it? If there is a red one it is a bridge pickup. If it has a blue one, it is a neck. The middle has a black dot if it is RW/RP otherwise it is green. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies guys.
There are no dots, but the two middle pole pieces are shaded black on the underside of the pickup -- Does this signify anything?

I'm guessing that it could be a RW/RP middle. The problem is determing the polarity. Unless you have a polarity checker, the only way is to take a pickup that you know the polarity, and hold this one top to top against it. If they attract it is the opposite polarity, if they repel it is the same.

RW/RP coils are north polarity.

The serial number is IT1118
Does this tell me anything useful?

Yep, you're got a RWRP middle Irish Tour coil :D
