OK guys I've gone and done it..
I ordered all the CTS pots / Caps / Switchcraft jack and Toggle Switch from Tim then copied the wiring which was currently in there...
Spent hours with my cr@p soldering skills and a great book on guitar repair and guess what..
BuZZZ and nutin' else...I'm pi$$ed off and tired.
I wanna smash the damn thing as it's my least favourite guitar anyway!
I was gonna take my Strat and Ibanez to Jonathan at Feline for a Steel refret / setup soon so I thought I'd save some cash by rewiring the Epi myself. Now I'm gonna have to get that done too as I can't stand to even look at the thing.
I can't simply put this issue aside and play my others as every time I look at it it irritates me.
Die Epi Die Die Die....

Just leave it for a while and come back to it when you're more in the mood, it's easier to notice things you've missed that way and you don't get worked up about it.

guitar techy shite makes me angry too. changing strings yesterday, my hands were sweaty, and i couldnt keep hold of the high E - i cut myself like 1000 times on the cut-off ends of the strings, and now there's blood all over my carpet, and my jeans, and my t-shirt, and my guitar - grrrrr

Work back from the jack socket, it could just be a question of a short somewhere near that end.
-
SORRY... I kinda lost it there.
I am staying away from it at the moment and will revisit it periodically.
I think I've discovered my limits with a soldering iron.

8) Practice does'nt make you perfect,,,,,but it can make you better 8)
Be patient, and take your time,Leave that afghan alone too, when working on things that require thought.Stay cool,if that epi is your least fav guitar, thats perfect for practice.
