Wow. Never heard of Peerless.
The Wizard Custom is rocking my world!

I see that Jimmy Page's old guitar teacher ( Big Jim Sullivan ) uses / endorses that particular model. :)

I have my Gordon Smith in with Chandlers and I see they are a dealer....
hmmm

Here's another interesting Peerless. Not a thinline, but I think it looks supercool and it's got a Bigsby. You could buy this and stick in two BKP90's for £600.

Chandlers were selling these for £609.

+1 for the JA-90
It's a really nice guitar. One thing to note though. The scale is 24 3/4", not 25 1/2" is stated in the spec on the Fender site.
I got mine from Guitar Guitar for £449. I did have to wait about 8 weeks to get hold of it though.
According to Jim Adkins (from Jimmy Eat World (it's his signature series)) the black version might be getting phased out & replaced with a natural finish one. There's a video of him using the prototype model here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2AqCYFDsjA

What's the neck like Psy? I assume it's the usual Fender skinny C shape?
-
Peerless made their name when they made Gretsch's Electromatic line. They're very decent guitars.
Another one you might be interested in, although it might exceed your budget.

It's 'modern C' shape, whatever that means. I don't know much about neck shapes to be honest. Feels pretty nice though. It's slimmer than the neck on my Mockingbird, I know that much. There's a photo of the back the neck here http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=20373.0 that's any help. :)

Ah, I missed that thread, I was on holiday that week. Congratulations, looks great! :D

I've been checking out the Wizard Custom. Definitely gets my vote.

Thanks for all the input so far.
Am definitely liking the JA Tele although I'm not sure I could bring myself to own a guitar that is so far removed from the original, classic Tele design which I love.
I have previously been a fan of the Peerless Wizard but am looking for something less fancy and am somewhat of a bigsbyophobe.
I was also quite taken by the Reverend Club King 290.
I suppose my ideal would be a hollow/semi-hollow Les Paul Special, or a singlecut Epiphone Casino- if only either of them existed...

That looks great fun, yet smart and very well thought out / functional . :)
I with I'd have had that when I was last gigging - it would have matched the sonic requirements ( and even our black/white stage clothes ) perfectly. 8)

Or possibly a Gibson ES-225TD, which does exist!
