Title: Check out a new track by my band Red Seas Fire!
Post by: Nolly on March 20, 2010, 02:08:31 AM
Hi chaps,

My band Red Seas Fire have finally got a swanky new myspace page, complete with a fresh track, check it out here:

www.myspace.com/redseasfire

It's recorded with my Blackmachine guitars (B2 on the left, B6 on the right, both BKP loaded of course!), into my Axe-FX Ultra (boosted PVH5105 model), using Redwire cabinet impulses.

Hope y'all dig!

That was sweet dude, nice one. Heard some riffs in there from a previous song, is this replacing it or is it like a part of a song "trilogy" thing where you use repetition of certain riffs to link it all together? Either way, awesome as usual!

Cool, thanks dude! It's actually just a reworking of the track, we changed some parts here and there but kept alot of the main riffs  :)

Wicked, sounds darker! I like it.  :D

Hope you can find a vocalist that can do it justice.

Are you actually endorsed by BKP?

New Wave of British Progressive Metal?

I quite like the tune though, I maybe think it could do with some editing, but generally I think it's reet good. Are you looking for a vocalist? What style?

Indeed we are endorsers. Glad you dug the track!
We're looking for a mainly clean vocalist that doesn't stick standard note choice throughout. Screaming reserved for the most intense parts.

Maybe vocals would be good, but I never thought of that while listening. Anyway I thought it was bloody superb as is. Interesting timing things going on and plenty of light and shade. Occasionally I hear tracks that I think would sound good on a film soundtrack and this is one of them.

was listening a track on the sneap forum and to me it sounded exactly the same as the riff in that video of you and pete recording

I might have learnt it from the video too though ;)

That sounds damn good, I really like it - especially the harmony parts.

Ah ok, well it would be a very odd coincidence if it's the same - the main riff is about 3 years old now, and the rest was spontaneously written on the spot.  :)

This sounds great! I like the blend of electronic noises and the huge guitar riffs, very impressive.  :D
