Great film. And based on a true story, not sure how much of it was true though!

That bit in the bar you mentioned is sublime, everyone thinks he's the village idiot and he scythes into The Flight Of The Bumblebee. And the bit when the Prof (John Gielgud) showed our hero the plaster-cast of Rach's hand, I've worked with all manner of big lumpy blokes in my time some of whom had huge hands, but I ain't never seen hands that big.

giving enormous volume, makes me think of stevie R who also had a big pair o mitts but played hard too
