OK, so after all my bleating on about my Orange not being adequate, I've gone and bought a new amp...
After a brief flirtation with Dereks Laney, band pressures meant that I needed something sooner rather than later.

It's an Engater Renegade. Picked it up from the mail depot last night - fired it up this morning to check that all is working fine, which it is. Sounds lovely, but will need to wait until Friday before I can turn it up to a half decent volume.

Congrats, those amps look real cool too. I really like those Framus 2 x 12 too, should have got one cheap when I had the chance! Looks like a great rig!

Very nice . :D
It certainly has some great tone shaping ideas - and as such will cover all your present / future tonal needs !
I like the idea of 'blending' ( from the front panel ) of both 6L6 and EL34s in the same amp ; and overall - it has an impressive range of well chosen features . It certainly looks ( and reads ) like being - 'The whole nine yards' . Also , the nice boutique style cosmetics match well with your cab , it all looks very 'up-market'. 8)
Judging by your choice and number of pedals, I can imagine that you would greatly benefit from the Egnater's more contemporary feature set - and that your pedal board will be 'trimmed' a bit as a result.
Nice one mate, It all looks ( and no doubt sounds ) absolutely peachy. :D

OOOO I really like the look of that. I was toying with a Rebel 30 a while ago but never had the cash. Clips please :)

Arrrgghh!!!!
Take the acoustic away from the radiator! :)

Welcome to the Egnater family
I've not played any of the Rebel/Tourmaster range of amps - hope they are as much fun as the modular series are.
I cant imagine not having my Eggie now

Congrats.

As you know, I'm very ignorant about amps, but I like the look of Egnaters.
Pretty pricey though, aren't they?
-
Looks cool! how does it sounds?

Relatively pricy I guess - £920 from Thomann, but GuitarGuitar had them for £850. More than I wanted to spend, but I was having a typically indecisive moment - I've always loved Egnater amps, I was particularly interested in the Mod series - the flexibility of those modules looked fab. But the Renegade has SUCH a sweep of tones it's way flexible enough for my needs.
The switching is awesome. The footswitch can change channels, engage reverb on either or both channels, engage fx loop on either or both, and engage a secondary master volume on either or both. Bear in mind that for the last 15 years or so I've been using a sinlge channel, non-master volume vintage amp, this is a whole new world of complixity to me!!!
It's been agony, because I've hardly been able to use it since it arrived. But I'm off tomorrow (before a week in Wales!!!) and I should be able to give it a good workout. Initial impressions are that it sounds awesome - the drive channel is kinda what I'd expect - loads of gain on tap, amazing pinch harmonics (even on my tele!), but also some quite subtle drive too. The valve blend makes a HUGE difference!
The clean(er) channel is also spectacular. With everything dialled straight up, its a rich, smooth, creamy clean. A little twist of the gain knob brings in a little sparkle - tube screamer-esq.
And it's bloody loud!
Need to spend some serious time getting to know what it can do.
Will make some clips when I get the chance.

PS - the radiator is off. I've found that heat can warp wood.

The new Egnater website is v cool
The page for the Renegade is excellant - makes me want one even though I have the modular system

^ yeah, very cool - I like the fact that you can download the manual - it has some really nice info about valve bias etc.
Another thing I like about this amp - external bias points! Also, the manual takes you through the range of valves that can be used, and their recommended bias settings.
Awesome.

The Renegade is a killer amp, I was very impressed when I played it. Not like a Tourmaster at all, the Renegade has Tone! With all those features it's an awesome price...
Congrats and HNAD!

The Vengeance is a cut down version of the Armageddon feature wise

For anyone wanting to hear a sloppy, amaturish wannabe shamed by his marvellous amp, I've posted a (brief) clip here:
