...for cleaning rosewood fingerboards usa.........what is it here?
-
isn't lighter fluid similar
-
You've been reading DAn Erlewine again
I did have a good discussion with Dan Erlewine about this
Lighter fluid serems to be the same stuff and can be easily bought for anything from 99p- £2.00 (Dont pay more)
-
serems is that seems....think was you or wez that told me on here
-
yep. lighter fluid. It is great for removing any grease, muck or sticky stuff. it can also be quite drying because of this so if you clean a rosewood fretboard with it you want to make sure you are not leaving it too dry
-
It's quite good for filling lighters as well
Definitely 99p, and definitely watch out for its drying properties on rosewood boards (I tend use some sort of oil afterwards).
-
I used to use isopropyl alcohol injection swabs, then I got lazy and just started letting the gunk build up!
-
what about lemon oil afterwards
-
Hendrix used to clean his fretboard with lighter fluid
