So I had a fair bit of money saved that I was going to use to pay off a potentially bankrupting business debt - anyway, the said debt did not materialise, so I had a some money to blow.
I think I might of gone over the top as a I put some savings together with the debt fund to get a LP Special DC and a Custom shop LP 59 Standard in Bourbon burst - Haven't got either yet - delivery is on Thursday. I must confess that given my abilities the second purchase (the custom shop) is OTT , its just I am so relieved that I am not going bankrupt AND that the potential liability never attached to me so I thought I would celebrate.

Lovin' the double cut, Elliot.
Mark.

Nice one (or two) Elliot! The BKP forum continues to spend the UK out of recession! :D
I love the colour on the LP, there's almost a hint of violet/purple in the burst which is really unusual.

Awesome!!! :D

Made the mistake of selling one of them DC great guitars...get visiting rights every now and again as sold to mate
-
Two lovely guitars, congratulations :)
-
Congrats - I like the look of those DCs. Actually, I like the look of quite a lot of guitars!
-
I was going to get the same DC a couple of weeks ago, but missed it by a small margin.... one day!! (you'll have to bring either of those to the next BKP meet :))
They both look great!

The only thing I don't like about the doublecut LP Specials (and SG Specials) is that the pickups are a bit too close together. They might as well fill the gap with another two frets!

It's because the joint is not very deed and not very large and when they made with neck pickup closer to the neck, it had problems of braking... It's shown on the building book of Melvin Hisc--k...
Agreed about more frets and more wood on the joint :)

Well, well, well!!
The Custom shop LP 59 Standard in Bourbon burst looks fan-bloody-tastic. :P
Recession? What Recession!

Those DC's are A1, I got it from SG (HA HA! kept telling you not to let me near it) & they are amazing to play & if you stick 11's on sound ace (very SG'ish). Good catch bud & congrats on the lack of debt!

Two great guitars. I particularly like the double cut.
-
Couple of tasty beautys there Elliot. The double cut is cool. I want something with P90s.
How do they sound?
-
Elliot, I HATE you, ok ? :chain:
been GASing for a DC for almost 30 years now - ever since I was 14 and played this 1962 LP Junior. Was barely able to play the Ramones and a couple Clash and Pistols songs by that time, but well, this guitar was a KILLER - and never managed to get one :?
-
Wooo, they look good... and congrats on keeping out of trouble :D
