Title: I'd heard of the Jim Root tele but not the Jim Root strat
Post by: Ian Price on April 14, 2010, 04:42:18 PM
Is this just a gimmick or does he actually play one:

Not keen on the EMGs, blank neck, compound radius, black hardware, double HB appearance and single volume knob but other than that it's fine.

Not sure if he plays one with two EMG humbuckers but I know he does own a Strat.

I saw Stone Sour in 2007 and I saw a strat in amongst all of his gear, although he never played it live, I suspect he just uses them as back up guitars.

I think he does use them, but I don't think as much as his Tele's

Yep, same with the Tele's. Very small routes too so there's a lot of mahogany. The sustain is incredible
