Hello! I'm planning my next build, which is a dual box Booster/OD thing. i was curious about one thing however, maybe you guys can enlighten me.
I'm going to buy an ITS8 kit as the overdrive side, and either the MXR micro amp, or EH LPB1 or the alembic stratoblaster as the booster side. it'll be mounted in a big box.
i'm just wondering where the booster goes.... do you boost the guitar even more before going into the overdrive or do you boost the overdrive going to the amp? i figure boosting the guitar and then overdriving this boosted signal will probably be the norm, as i want a fuller tone with a bit more compression for leads, but not so much volume since i'm now a single guitarist in my band.
so is it Guitar Boost OD or Guitar OD Boost? (i figure the latter will also be quite noisy)

I use guitar/od/boost. OD to add more gain, booster to push the amp a bit :)

do what Lovetone used to do on the Cheese Sauce pedal and have separate INs and OUTs on each pedal, then just use a patch cable to decide which you want first.

would be quite a good idea actually! as the kits come with 1/4 connectors for each pedal, it'd avoid some waste of jacks.

Or, what Xotic is doing in its BB+ preamp. A switch does it internally.
