Wadap,
I recently heard Thin Lizzy for the first time. I was browsing though the BKP pickup collection and wanted to hear where the cold sweat comes from. Absolutely a killer song from Thin Lizzy and when I listened to it for like 6 times in a row I got the idea to re-record it myself.
Rhythm Guitar: Ceramic Warpig bridge
Squeals and Solo: Nailbomb bridge
Amp setup:
Mesa/Boogie Quad
VHT 2/90/2
Bogner Uberkab (2x V30 & 2x Eminence Wizard)
Mics:
Audix i5 (guitars)
Rode NT1-A (vocals)
DFH drums
Bass recorded direct
Firstly I want to apologize the pathetic w**kery that I try to call a solo and I'm not much of a singer but hope you enjoy it as much as I did recording it.
It's been eq'd and compressed here and there for your listening pleasure, nothing too extensive.
edit: uploaded the file here since I accidentally exported 8mins of silence to the end the first time :P

Right on awesome!!!
You even have a good voice too. Real ballsy. - Same goes for the guitars :P
But imho the nailbomb still loses hard compared to the C-pig =)

nothing wrong with that neemo, don't be hard on yourself there's some excellent playing especially the solo. :D

Yeah that sounds evil!!! PDT_003
Real nice playing and great sound!! Keep on rocking like that!!!
PS.: ohhh noooo... I have to get a C-Pig....

awesome solo, NB sounds a bit thin there though, nothing some EQ can't fix I'm sure

Sounded great Neemo, can I ask the specs on the Guitar with the C-Pig in it?
