A huge improvement compared to the other clip! Much more in you face and a lot more clarity! Congraz!

great stuff trans, what scares me though is there probably are live drummers that could do that kick drum stuff.look forward to your future posts

thanks gordiji gar samuelson did a darn good job of it on the rude awakening dvd
and menza did it even better a fair few times.
Unsure of what ill be posting up and when as i dont really have anything in mind to do.
I have a few originals but can never be bothered to record them.
any requests?
-
Much improved guitar tone, my only complaint is that the drums and bass are being drowned... but this is a pickup demo so I guess that's acceptable 8)
As for requests, I think that middy tone would sound great doing some Slayer.
-
Yeah i always get complaints that the bass and drums are too prominent in my mixes so i dropped them a bit this time... clearly a bit too mich lol.
Never learnt any slayer. Do you have any recommendations?

Im requesting the shortest straw by metallica which such tone. ;).
-
nice but sounds too middy for classic metallica/ thrash sound.
-
You think ? Im finding metallica's justice sound middy, its the rectifier core sound that gives that sizzle in mids. Its really crispy. well i always found my metallica cover attempt to sound better with more mids hi mids than scooping them. but the miracle man is really nice for that chugging. I installed one on my les paul and it really sings with a lot of smoothness. impressive ceramic unit, tim managed to get it really rocking and exciting :D.

Re: Slayer. That tone makes me think of South of Heaven, so why not have a crack at that.

I don't think they had rectifiers in '88 ;)

You are correct they used the mesa Mark IIC+ on justice and had a fair bit of mids in the actual tone then scooped them out in the mixing process if i remember correctly from the various dvds.
I'll have a look at south of heaven this weekend as i've never learnt any slayer before.
