Title: I bashed my Koch :-(
Post by: Johnny Mac on April 23, 2010, 04:47:39 AM
Yeah I wacked my Koch on the door frame on my way to rehearsals last night. No sound for a bit or very low volume. It did work but with the pre-amp volume and master all the way up but somethings not right. It didn't half take a whack though, I heard all the valves rattle. So could it be the a case of take it apart and check the valves? I hope the transformers are ok, they're hand made! I suppose new valves could be on the cards anyway as it's been five years now.

Anyway blinding rehearsal, we were all grining ear to ear! What a buzz  :D

I am glad the rehearsal went well. I hope your amp is ok-hopefully something trivial.

You probably busted a preamp tube... or one or more is just loose

It's been a while since we had some decent Koch jokes... sorry to hear about that though :(

I'm sure it'll be fine once you've had it looked over - it'll probably only be a couple of weeks without alcohol (depends on the exact antibiotics they give you, though...)

  yeah a loose tube sounds like a good place to start looking.
Andy and Philly you've excelled yourselves!

Steve, I used my Tascam gadget to record last night. They do a grand job!
This band is shaping up nicely. Some of those old agendas seemed to have gone and last night, we all got along and played nicely.  :D I hope this nice vibe continues.
