BC Rich Mockingbird Exotic electric guitar - mahogany body, spalted maple top, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, 2x Rockfield Mafia humbucker pickups, tune-o-matic bridge
I found this guitar with a invader in the bridge for a STEAL ;D
this will be my second mockingbird. AND its gonna be tuned to C# and being used for pseudo technical death metal.
Im thinking a Painkiller. what do you think?

BUMP!
I've sent this mail. But i still want your opinions:
Hello Im looking for some new pickups for two mockingbirds
1 -
80's bc rich Mockingbird. Its an old nj model made of ??? Wood. Maple neck, rosewood fretboard. Licenced Floyd. This guitar is very, very 80's sounding. It has a nice mid tone and neat definition.
Im tuning to C# and i play 220+ bpm Thrashy Death metal. Im a bit of a messy player, so i dont want a pickup which shows all my errors too much :P But i dont want it muddy either.

2009 Bc rich Exotic Spalted maple mockingbird - BC Rich Mockingbird Exotic electric guitar - mahogany body, spalted maple top, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, 2x Rockfield Mafia humbucker pickups, tune-o-matic bridge. Colour: Natural.
This guitar is also tuned to C#. I want kinda the same tone as the other one. But since its a whole different beast under the paint. then i think another pickup is wanted.
This is my drummers old band, and were playing music with the same elements :)

Painkillers a good choice for that, but its gonna show your mistakes.
There arent really any forgiving BKs, in the grand scheme; their articulation and dynamics make them all very clear
Also, as someone who plays not completely dissimilar music, I think that youre going to ultimately do the sound a disservice by going for anything but an articulate, unforgiving pickup - the same thing that shows your errors is the thing that lets all thats going on in fast complex high gain music be audible and clear.
I say get a painkiller and learn to clean your playing up (which the PK will help with), or get a tone zone and not hear any mistakes, or what the hells going on in the song.

Haha well what i want is that the pickup is compressed enough. I play quite fast, and not all my notes are equally hard struck. The C pig is my alltime fav pickup. But i want to try something new :P
How about a miracle man in the basswood mockingbird, to add a little bass. And a Painkiller in the mahogany?
-
The PK is very not compressed for its hotness.
MM would be fine in either guitar, as would the PK. If you want something different than a c-pig and want some compression then the MM and ceramic nailbomb would be next on the list, and I'd lean toward the latter for the mahogany and the MM for the basswood.

I think that i will follow your advide :P I even think that the camo covered Cbomb will look awesome in the spalted :D

Tim wrote me earlier.
He reccomended me Painkiller for the basswood bird
and miracle man for the Mahogany bird
And i ordered these :P
