Hi
I have a hss strat pickguard a complete build by Bare Knuckle with 2 irish tours and a crawler at the bridge.
I would like to transfer the mid tone control to the bridge but i'm unsure of the correct wiring and think i would need a seperate capacitor but not sure of value.
Thanks for your help

its a really easy mod
all you need to do is swap the wires that go to the tone pot from the switch, no need for extra capacitors on anything like that
here is a standard strat - pay attention to the switch

swapping the wire thats red in the diagram to the empty lug will now give you a tone for bridge and neck but none for middle

if you wanted two pickups to share a tone pot, just connect the relevant lugs together. This diagram shows the neck with its own tone and teh bridge and middle pickups share the other tone pot

the same value cap will be fine - but if you wanted a different value cap for each tone pot you simply wire them both like the one with the cap - going straight to the switch rather than linked together

1:- neck
2:-neck and mid
3:-mid
4:-mid and one coil of hum
5:-humbucker

will be wired like this then

notice this time the pickup and tone connections are on the same side of the switch. This means you cannot share a tone the way i showed above, but you can still unhook the middle tone from where it connects and attach it to the lug where the bridge pickup connects
