Looks great! Very nice! Any chance of some clips? I've only ever had a byoc mighty mouse and I loved that!

Um at the minute no.. i have absolutely zero kit to record with.. will have to be the next lot of purchases once my skreddys and tele get paid off..
i will tll you this, its a nasty little fecker lol broad range of usuable gain and broad range on the tone control, and it realy takes on the characteristic of whatever guitar is going thru it, so more treble needed for humbucker in mahogany and more low end dialled in for a strat bridge

hmm - back on my want list then!

RAT pedals are great, one of my personal faves - every time I get one in for repair or mods I wonder why I haven't got one on my pedal board. Here's one I modded earlier... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNgGjbcpBxc
btw, the guitar is my trusty 1990 Les Paul loaded with BKP Abraxas pickups.

Sounds Good!

That really didn't help HTH! :D
So... from the point of view of getting one for modding (by your good self if you'd be willing) what model / version should I get? I've read elsewhere that the current stuff isn't that great...
Cheers

from what i hear, the current production RATs are quite disimilar to the originals and say 90's up to around 2002 ish.
The (apparently) all important Opamp has changed from the LM308N (or sometimes used AH) to something that isnt and the circuit has changed.
In terms of buying one for modding, go for a 90's to early 2000 RAT2 (think 87 was the last year of the "classic" RAT) or alternatively buy the current production special edition WFRAT (white face RAT) which is supposedly an exact reproduction of the original small box RAT's. the reissue Big box RATS are good too. these are all reasonably prced on Ebay
I know from Keeley's website that they won't work on current production or anything after 2003 or 4.
alternatives to RAT the which are excellent quality clones and apparently nail the classic RAT sound are the Absolutely analog Ratzo and the Hartman distortion.
The BYOC ones are supposed to be Bang on too, so maybe don't need to change it

Thanks tekbow - thats very useful. I sold the byoc mighty mouse a couple of years ago so there may be a new pedal day in my future :)
