I'm almost embarrassed to say that yesterday, after all this time on the forum, I got my first BKP! Thanks to StevePage we did a trade and I ended up with a Crawler for my Page LP. I spoke to Tim quite a while back and that's the pick up he recommended for this guitar and so finally I have one. It's paired up with the S.D Antiquity bridge I had for sale in seconds for a while , and as I had never even fitted the Ant it dawned on me that I may as well try it on the neck slot being as the Crawler is quite hot. As it happens it does seem a good match. I've only used it in the house with the Marshall 2554 combo and I think I've dialed them in ok but will need to fire the MK50 up to really find out. All in all I'm pretty chuffed with this combo so far, I'm just not sold on double cream pick ups these days so I'll pull it out soon and get Tim & Co to fit an aged nickel cover! Here's the obligatory pics....

what a gorgeous guitar to put it in. Glad you like it, the Custom works great in the strat despite my messy wiring. Now I need a hotter neck pickup :P

Good stuff! I currently have no BKPs! FWIW I think it looks great with the double cream and chrome combo. I would keep it that way.

Congratulations,
The guitar looks nice and I would agree with Ian the double cream does not look bad in the guitar. Hope the crawler ends up working out for you.

:) Cheers guys! I have to say that this guitar is a strange one... sometimes it looks plain, sometimes it looks very flamey... and yet these pics (which were to show the pick ups really) it looks sort of in between? I'll see if I can find an older pic... you'll see what I mean. Wierd!

The pickups change in the pictures but one think remains the same that is one nice looking guitar.
The black one looks nice too. What pickups are in that one?

The burst had a Brobucker/ PGn combo in that pic. Ref the black LP, that one had standard Gibson classic '57's.. I just took the covers off. Unfortunately we had a break in and that guitar was stolen :( It was my 40th birthday gift too! I've since replaced it with another '57 R.I, and that one has A S.D Custom shop Brobucker/ '59 n combo. The newer one is the best guitar I've ever had, it's superb. The Brobucker is an awesome pick up... kind of a Hot PAF, Instant Angus in a box. Tim at BKP had them to add Gold covers and wax pot them, he really liked the Brobucker and was very complimentary! 8)

Cheers, but it's all good now. :)

That guitar looks awesome! I really like it with the Double Cream/Covered combo.
How's the Crawler in a LP? I've only ever used 1 in a Strat

It's really good. I know it's a hot pick up, but the note definition and clarity is excellent. This guitar is quite bright and this just thickens the sound whilst retaining a vintage vibe which is what Tim told me. So yeah, I'm happy!

Looks great. On Mrs 38th's notebook it looked particularly good.

That looks lovely on my iMac, so i'm doing the obligatory pics for that also!
