Can't believe he's playing the Academy, just picked up a pair of tickets for myself and the missus. The guy that made me want an electric guitar (instead of the classical I was playing at the time) is still my #1 icon.
Saw him in 1992(?) with GnR, really looking forward to seeing him again :D
Anyone else going to see him on tour?
-
Got tickets to see him on July 1st in Edinburgh. Looking forward to seeing Slash, should be a pretty good show and at £25 a ticket you can't really complain. :D
-
who is he touring with - vocalists etc?
-
I think it's Myles Kennedy for the US gigs, don't know if he's coming over for the UK tour...
-
Just checked Slash's site and it's:
Myles Kennedy (vocals & guitar)
Bobby Schneck (rhythm guitar)
Dave Henning (bass)
Brent Fitz (drums)

not sure if I'll go or not. will have a think. the place he's playing in belfast is fairly rubbish.
-
I'll have to look into this, the academy you said...
-
Yep, Academy...
-
Just spoke to Shobet. We will see you there
-
Top one :)
-
Looks like they sold out quicker that shite through a goose... :(
-
Doh! I thought they might go quick. I was hitting "refresh" at 8:59am.....
-
Oops between me and Shobet we managed to bugger it up and now don't have tickets.
-
How do you like his new album?
-
£25 eh? naturally enough, in Belfast they're £35! and in Dublin 45 euro! gah! anyway, as always, when i check ticketmaster says it's site is closed for routine maintenance, so i don't know if there are tickets or not.
i, too, saw the man himself with G'N'R in '92, and again with Velvet Revolver. would rather like to see him again, so hopefully tomorrow i'll get my hands on a ticket.
you guys that have them already, well done! hope you get a great show :)
-
I certainly respect Slash but has he done anything more noteworthy than the classic Guns'n Roses tunes? I'm curious if he has another november rain-esque solo in his repertoire that I haven't stumbled across.

Got it on loop in the car at the moment - it's a grower.....
