Title: Digital Distribution - Reverbnation
Post by: phlip on May 17, 2010, 04:33:49 PM
Hiya,
Long Story Short, 1993 - My band signed to A Music for Nations Subsidiary, right royally ripped off by Management, Album Never released.
That was quick wasn't it ;)

I now have (Thanks to Facebook of all things) all members of the band accounted for and a copy of the last (Not really)rough mix of the album before it all went to hell, minus a few poor take solo's which needed re-doing it was almost done.
I've spent some months re-mastering it to give a bit of oomph and regardless of whether anyone wants to buy it or not we want to release the album digitally. We all know some old fans who would buy a copy, this would cover what seems to be the small cost of doing this and any other sales well Bonus eh :)

Has anyone used ReverbNation? They seem to offer a good package for a small yearly sub and cover all of the big online stores. Any pro's or cons. Of course there is now a band called what we were called but a simple -UK will solve that  :D

Cheers

I can't comment on Reverbnation as I've not used them, but I used CD Baby for the digital distribution for my last EP & I've been happy with their service.  They might be worth checking out too.  It's $55 per album on there ($35 for the distro & $20 for the barcode) & I don't think they have a yearly sub.
