Just got this, a roadworn Ibanez RG560, serial tells me it's 1990 I think? Looks like a bargain at 200 sent?

He may have kept the guitar in reasonable condition, but what was he thinking when he put that top-E string on??!? :o

I like that - and a definite bargain.
I think that RG look cool when a little bit beaten up; somehow, I don't really expect that from more modern guitars. Mind you, RGs must be over 20 years old now as a design...

Oh dear, looks like he did it on stage, mid-song, lights out and wearing a blind-fold - hurriedly trying to finish it before they reached his solo ! :lol:
I dunno, mebbe I've been on this forum too long, I no longer feel slightly underwhelmed when I see pointy superstrat type guitars :o :lol:

Yep, 1990 RG560 made at the Fujigen factory. Looks like it's had some work on it though, the two switches are not original and neither are the knobs. For £200 you can't go wrong though. Got two 560s myself great guitars for the money.

The E string isn't the only thing that's funky. The bridge pickup is upside down :lol:
It blatantly needs to be refinished pink and get green bkps and plastics :twisted:

Have you seen the vids on youtube? It's really interesting, when you pull the body out of the tub/vat/whatever the paint sucks on to the body.

I'm trying to find a coloured humbucker mounting ring and switch tip too but I can't seem to find any, d'oh!

Just took the neck off. The plot thickens - the body is an RG760, neck is marked RG550 and the model is RG560 :lol:
