Title: Pickup Change on my RR24
Post by: IommiCross on May 23, 2010, 03:06:32 PM
So I'm going to swap out the 81 on my RR24 when it gets here (hopefully by next week). I'm looking for a children of bodom kind of tone. In case you don't know it's kinda like, Vintage mids + high ends, something like that. I was actually looking for some of the old Jackson pickups but I'm tired of camping on ebay so BKP just popped up in my mind. What would then be the most suitable pickup that I'm looking for?

Right now I'm looking at the Holydiver, VH II, and the Nailbomb. I actually don't know that much on it so thats why im writing in the forum. From what I could tell the holydiver and nailbomb has a pretty reasonable output so theres no need for a boost. I was planning on installing the MM-04 from my edwards into the RR24 (swapping that out for EMG ALX set). I might find some JE1000 clones but then which BKP would work with it? If its high gain and output stuff then I won't even need the boost (even tho I rather have one). Some help would be nice :D
