I've just been updating my gear records following a few sales, and the last purchase (my Paul Richardson SCR) was the 50th guitar I've bought

50 is a huge amount too. I don't know how you get through them so quickly!
I've let one go and I gave that away.
Mine and their little quirks are so hard wired into my brain, I'd never part with any of them. Well maybe the Richwood I bought on Ebay when I was stoned 4 years ago. :lol:
Edit: mind you that plays well now after Feline Pimped its arse inside out.

Make mine 22 - forgot about my first 'proper' guitar (an Epi LP Std) and the Sig LP that I bought from Dave (that is no doubt in his list of 50!)

I haven't got 79 now, I've got, er.... less than half that amount.
I doubt Phil's got 79 now, but I bet he's owned more than that over the years!

I think I'm on 7. The first one I had pimped was my Charvel and the frets had worn out on it. That's what your supposed to do with them, wear them out! :lol:

It's a bit vague at the moment, because so many are in bits or out of commission for various reasons.
I think it is potentially 30 or 31. But in full working order, about 16, two of which are currently up for sale on eBay.

Just the PRS Mira and Tokai Love Rock II. And I might be selling the Tokai SG90, PRS SE EG and Gordon-Smith GS-1, eventually.

In my teens I was lucky to live with in walking distance of two really cool guitar shops that humored me and let me trade cr@p all the time like Arias and Ibanez Roadstars and other oddball guitars!

The body has shot up in price fast! I don't bid on an item until the last 15 seconds or so.

I'm happy with my 3 electrics although there may be space for another one at some stage, a Les Paul or SG I think.
I have no idea how many I've owned though, probably around 20.

I'm upto 15 electrics (16 when I find a BC Rich Gunslinger :lol:), 1 acoustic and 1 mandolin but I have sold 6 guitars and a bass over the years (that I can think of atleast 8))

Just kept all the really, really great guitars that I use regularly plus my first ever electric.

I've had enough with re-wiring stuff, and throwing new parts on etc.
Same here, I can't be bothered with tinkering and stuff for subtle changes, I'd rather just play the bloody things now! Only thing I do want to do is get all the pots replaced in my Gibson so I can roll down the volume without it sounding muddy.
Don't think I've owned more than 10 guitars yet, can't see me getting too many more either as those I have do what I want :D Only thing I'm thinking of doing is a bit of a project on the old strat body I have lying around (if I have enough spare money). New paintjob, neck, pickguard and tuners is all it needs!

A strat in vintage white with a birds eye maple and finger board neck. Jumbo frets. Lsr roller nut. Trem. Apaches or Mothers Milks.
A tele which I'm biding for parts on ebay. With Black Guard Pickups. Ash body, Maple/Rosewood neck. 5 way switch!
2 more Les Pauls one with Mules one with P90s
A 335 style with Stormys.
Maybe something with MQs for a slide. So that's 6.

Hmm I'm probably on about 20ish. I have 7 at the moment. Probably sell my PRS SE at some point. Maybe replace my MIJ Tokai with a REALLY nice LP if I come across one. Then I should be set (yeah right :lol:). I need to stop buying guitars everytime I see one going for a good price!

I haven't managed to tot mine up properly. Including basses and accoustics, and the non-usable ones at the moment, I think there's between 15 and 20 knocking around our place... (might be more :roll:). In my entire "life-as-guitarist", I've probably owned another 5 or so on top of these...

Well, there are lots of Gibsons, Fenders, Hamers and other guitars built on "traditional" lines, I must admit. And a great deal of mahogany.
No blood-spatter graphics, only one pointy headstock, one Floyd Rose, and very little black hardware! :lol:

I don't count either, though I think in my case 16 of them are Strats! It is somewhere close to 70, including 6 acoustics, 9 bases, 2 lap steels, 1 tiple, lots of Les Pauls and 5 telecasters just for Roo. Of those, over 30 have Bare Knuckle pickups.

That's the true measure of a person's guitar wealth :) 18 out of my current 26 have BKPs...

Are we allowed to discount the guitars that can't use BKPs from the "out of" total? (Eg Accoustics, danelectros, Brian May Red Specials, etc)

Yep, in that case it's 18 out of 20 for me :) (26 minus 5 acoustics & a 5-string bass)
