I've just been listening to some (bad) recordings of myself, and I'm, pretty sure my playing has improved since installing Black Dogs las week! .....
Anyone else guilty of this?

I would agree with that, the better the tone the more confident and inspired you are to play your best.
-
Dunno about more confident, but tone is making my left hand muting more active, pickups are too good for me. lol.
"too much practice, not enough drinking makes me a dull boy (but better player)"
-
Totally agree with steve, a better tone (simply cos you can HEAR what you're playing) does lead to better playing.
Plus, you have to justify spending more money on your gear to your partner... ;)

I agree with you both fellas! BKP's probably the best 'guitar investment' I've made. Value can only be quantified on a personal basis, and im well chuffed with my playing at the moment, which i ain't been in 12 years. So thats £170 well spent!

Hehe - I'm really looking forward to getting mine in a few days!!! I'd really like to hear an improvement in my playing for a change!
I also agree with everyone here, sometimes when i go to friends houses and they demand to hear me play (their) guitar, i can't play it at all, even if it feels alright, just because it sounds cr@p thru their 10watt solid-state marshall.
I also think you feel more inspired to play if you know that its gonna sound nice! when i first started playing obviously i was rubbish, and i really didnt enjoy it nearly as much as i do now - i only picked up a guitar like once a month!

Hey, Indismth. you will not be dissapointed. I put my 'Dogs into a £300 mahogany Ibanez, which sounds better than my 1995 Gibbo LP, handmade EMG loaded BC Rich (unique Bernie (rip) built). Eggle, Parker Fly,PRS..... They are something special. Wish I had the funds to BKP all my guitars.
