Hi All, the name's BMM :D
I'm looking for a BK bridge pup to replace my Duncan Designed Detonator (Cheap, Korean made version of the SD Invader.)
Guitar: 90's Jackson RR3 Professional (alder body) either tuned in Standard or Drop D
Amp: B52 AT 112
I'm looking for a sound similar to some of the heavier, vintage Judas Priest songs like "Nightcrawler" and "Judas Rising". When they were really getting wild with the distortion. I'm not looking for t3h br00t4lz or anything close to that. Just a real ball breaker that will provide a wall of sound and vintage crunch. Good cleans are also a plus but they don't need to be stellar or anything.
I am originally born in Germany so I apologize if there's any errors in my grammar.
Any help in finding a Bareknuckle for me is greatly appreciated.

the painkiller is self explanatory :D
some kind of amp mod to engrave some british steel to the tone would be cool too
the b52 sounds too "american"

Painkiller! Or even a miracle man, it will give you a tad more grind

Obviously as a Priest fan the name Painkiller jumped out at me. But I have read that the Painkiller can be very bright in And Alder guitar. So I was wondering If there was a better option or if the fact that I play Drop D would help to offset any brightness.

Well i dont think that its as bright as other people think. I actually think it sounds a bit like a pickup version of lemmy :S

it is a bright pickup, but not THAT bright
not as bright as the cold sweat or the neck nailbomb, for example
the painkiller seems to be one of the most common choices for alder

i think the main point why people think the painkiller is bright is the attack, which can be hard. it is a bright pickup too - but not that bright as eric says.
