Title: Warpigs
Post by: Johnny Mac on May 30, 2010, 03:25:43 PM
I just knocked up this track on my new iMac.

Guitar, Schecter Omen 6, Warpig Bridge. Tuned drop C.

Amp. This needs no intruduction! Direct input from attenuator to Motu 828 MkIII

Bass, Some Ibanez job.

Logic 9.

Drums a few loops from Logic.

All in Stereo.

Its only a short clip!

Sounds a bit too fuzzy for me, but it is a big sound indeed :) I like the sound of the drums though, just got Logic for the "mac" but haven't bothered messing around too much with it yet.

The fuzzyness could be down to the BBE which I failed to mention in my first post. It was set to 10 0' Clock on Low Contour  and Process. They can kind of condition your ears. But I like what it does as I'm a bit of an 80's thrash fan and the BBE processor was quite popular back then. Without that it sounds darker and less alive to my ears. I put some reverb and compression around it too via Motu's DSP.

They are some great loops supplied with logic so have delve in there when you get time!

sounds big and mean to me, reminds me of the immigrant song crossed with xanadu by rush.

Thanks  :D this is my first Warpig clip. I don't play this guitar very much but I thought it was about time I did one with it.
