My name is FBloke and I have an online guitar browsing problem. Problem is, I'm running out of good shops to look at.
What are your favourites?

Have a look at Cowtown Guitars in Las Vegas. I passed on the BKP details to them and theirs to Tim and they became dealers. They do vintage so if that's your thing....

Are we talking look-but-don't-touch, or are you looking for places where you might actually sample the merchandise?

Nowt wrong with being ginger.
Plenty wrong with being a selfserving-sh1tstirring-scumbag though 8)

Fake? Does he sell dodgy gear then? I don't like his opinions and I don't like the look of all those ludicrously blingy high-end custom guitars he sells, but I didn't think he was actually crooked.

japan?

Google is your friend. He's renowned for it and he's even ripped off one of my friends for a supposedly vintage instrument. Trouble is he didn't bother changing the serial number on the several others he sold.
He's an odious little dwarf who's got a massive ego complex. BC Rich and MusicMan are not particularly fond of him either.

japan?

Good idea ! I hear the quality is usually good ... :)

Google is my friend, but sometimes I think we're too close..... once in a while, it's easier to ask someone who already knows.
Anyway, I did do a bit of Googling. He's even more of an arsehole than I thought.
(But hey, don't bring height into it! :P )

Some fantastic and often libellous replies to this one, I'm enjoying it a great deal. "Japan" has to be the most incisive but ultimately depressing suggestion. There are some great shops out there, but none in my hometown of Bristol anymore. Denmark Street is shitee too. Coda have me tempted with this little number:

He does have a bad rep. I went in his store in Vegas. It's huge.

isn't jam guitars in (or near) bristol? never been, but judging by their website they have some nice stock.
never been to japan either, I'm just judging by some of the pics I've seen online of the guitar quarters (we don't even have guitar quarters here :( )

Well we've got Denmark Street. But that's more like Guitar Hindquarters.

yeah, i remember the first time I saw denmark street (i'd already seen it on the map, but didn't quite believe it considering the rep the place has) i almost LOLed . It barely qualifies as a street, let alone a quarter.

I thought much the same when I first saw it. The only saving grace for me was Vintage and Rare.

the worst thing is that compared to northern ireland it's still pretty good (apart from the attitude of a lot of the staff and the prices).

I'll stick to Guitar Village. It's only a 30 minute drive from me and always has some great stuff in stock!
