Title: Sinner Rock Ballad
Post by: Searcher on December 07, 2005, 06:07:16 PM
After I did the blues clip I was messing around with a more distorted sound and was pretty impressed by how fat the Sinner gets, especially for a single coil bridge pickup. So this clip is an attempt to show off that side of things. Again, my playing is sloppy, sloppy, sloppy, but frankly, I'm too lazy to do another take.  :P

Sounds great! I'm slowly doing up my strat, so I will soon have to decide between getting a bridge sinner or a humbucker!

Thanks _tom_!

I've had Strats with humbuckers in the bridge a few times and I've found that it always sounds like you're changing guitars when you switch to the humbucker mid-song. But on the other hand, regular single coils just don't have the kick that I want in the bridge. The Sinner is a pretty cool balance between the two sounds.

Wow - i love that!!!!!! i was expecting it to be terrible to be honest -(you said your playing was sloppy?! and also it seemed a bit high output for this application) but my jaw just dropped!!! awesome stuff  8)

WOW - that is one nice sound - excellent playing, kinda reminds me of the best of 80s metal ballads - If the sinner sounds that good I wouldn't bother with a humbucker in the bridge....

Yeah I know what you mean about the singles not having a big enough kick in the bridge.. then again the singles are alot cheaper

:D Great playing !!!!
Great Tone from that Sinner, i agree with the verdict that Singles in the bridge sometimes need a bit of a kick.

That's sloppy? That brought me back to some classic Wishbone Ash tracks in my library for some reason - outstanding.
