I have a set of Aldrich pickups in my Suhr Standard, there's something about them I really don't like, not sure if it's best descried as a mid range spike or just that I find them harsh.
Maybe they are just wrong for my guitar, it's alder bodied with maple top and neck

I can't make my mind up between nailbombs or holy divers, I want something crunchy, fat and open
cheers

I'd put a set of Holy Divers in there, with either an Irish Tour or a Trilogy single coil, depending what you do with the middle pickup. I'd also put a Schaller mega switch in there for the coil splitting options that it gives without a lot of additional wiring.

the diver is warmer than the aldrich and nailbomb
fairly hot, but no near as aggressive as those pickups
crunchy, fat and open is pretty much like I would describe it
the crawler could be an alternative as well
If you want the aldrich bite without the mid spike, then you might prefer the nailbomb instead

ta for the info chaps
I think I am leaning towards the diver
