As with a lot of stuff these days, I was able to buy this on instalments
The body is American red Alder from an eBay seller, oiled and waxed.
The neck, and most of the other parts, including the pickups are from Axesrus, and the bridge is a Wilkinson.
The pickups are amazingly good, especially considering the price (about £48 the pair). Even drew a comment from our singer at rehearsal the other night!
The neck pup is classic Tele and a bit too dark for me, so that might be replaced when funds permit. I'm considering changing the frets, as they're a bit low for me, but even as it is, I'm enjoying playing it. It weighs in at about 7lbs4oz
It's also my first ever maple fingerboard.

looks great... love it!

Looking good! Is that a Fender logo, or something that looks the same from a distance?
-
Surely a good looker. I could use one myself :P

Looks really cool!

Looks lovely :D
I've got one of these on the go, I'll have to get it done soon.

Playing that the other day gave me partcaster GAS again Martin, I've been scouring ebay ever since!
Very nice guitar, stick some 10's on there and I'll do you a "TELECASTER" label on my brother label writer for true authenticity :D

Very nice. Enjoy :D

nice! what are the pickups?
-
Thanks. :)
The logo is a Fender One.
The pickups are Axerus True Vintage. Made in the same factory as Tonerider apparently. Good value for money, and good pickups at any price I'd have to say. The bridge pickup is great, and , well, so is the neck, but it's a vintage accurate Tele neck (quite dark). Not sure I can get on with that, but it does make the middle position awesome.
It took me a few hours playing to get a handle on the Tele thing, but I'm there now!

Looks mighty fine :D

thanks. just out of interest, why did you go for them and not actual toneriders? I think toneriders are a similar price?

Well after talking to the guy at Axesrus, I was quite happy that their own brand pickups were well designed and manufactured. He also offered to take them back if I didn't like them.
To top it off, the Toneriders are out of stock everywhere, and Dangleberry quoted me about 2 months to get stock in!
-
oh ok i didn't realise that  they were in stock the last time I looked (maybe it's just the tele pickups which are out of stock, though). Thanks.

Very nice indeed.
