I've been a fan of Sabbat since the Blood for the Blood God flexi-disc they did for White Dwarf magazine, and they're touring later this year.
Anyone planning on going to see them at the Underworld 21.08.10? I'd love to go, but really don't fancy a trek into London and back on my tod. Would be great to meet up with a few people if you are thinking of going.

Can't help you I'm afraid, though I'll be at the Glasgow date. Last saw them in 2007 (I think, possibly 2008) and they were tons of fun.
Amusing that Arch Enemy, who, asking ridiculous fees, booked a tour of Academys, couldn't sell even half the tickets so postponed it, then kicked Sabbat off the bill for having the audacity to arrange a small headline tour so they could still play to the people who wanted to see them because "it would lose Arch Enemy sales".
Plenty confidence in their own pulling power there

Haha. Reminds me of the time The Wildhearts got kicked off the Izzy Stradlin tour because they were selling more t-shirts than him. They were meant to be playing the Kentish Town Forum (the Town & Country Club as it was called then) with him, but instead they played the pub next door. Cue lots of jokes about "Izzy Strugglin'" :)

Manchester Academy still has Sabbat listed as support for Arch Enemy, is the kicking off the bill official?
Thought Andy Sneap and Arch Enemy got on well since he recorded them and I've found him at a few of their gigs in the past.

The dates are all removed from Sabbat's site/myspace, and they put out this statement:
Just received the following email, "A.E feel your August dates will pull heads away from the November tour dates, and feel it is best that you do not do the November tour."
So we look forward to seeing everyone who hasn't seen Sabbat in a while in August where we can do a headline set anyway. Apologies to anyone with tickets to see us on the Arch Enemy shows, I'm sure they'll be great... hopefully no volcanos in November.
Anyone seeking a refund should contact point of purchase.
The bands might be pals but chances are all the communication is completely through agents. Certainly nobody in Arch Enemy will have much to do with their booking.
