Title: NAD (true diezel gasoline :p)
Post by: fr33man1 on July 08, 2010, 07:21:48 AM
Man i gotta really be an addict to those New gear day topics.

Anyway I'm getting rid of my 5150, nice thick sound but really too one trick pony for my tastes.

I'm moving to the german side with this :

with an orange 1x12 cab loaded with a v30 on his way too.

1300 euros so around 1080 GPB for both, good deal he ?  :P

Its on its way for next week ;).

Used to own one. There is one sound on this amp that I particularly miss, mode 3 on Channel 1 - just kills for Metallica style riffing.

thats the point my friend ;)

I used to gas on a mesa boogie mark II+C or III but i missed one for 800 euros and was so mad at myself.

A friend kept telling me get a diezel for your metallica ish big riffing style.

I was about to trade for a steavens poundcake but the guy just wanted too much extra money on my 5150.

Some heavy nailbomb lp custom riffs incoming :D and some rebell yells thrown in my esp. Sweet summer for me :D.

Channel 1 Mode 3 is where I live. You can roll right off for a pretty good clean too...

You'd better learn to be precise as it doesn't take any prisoners.

Owned an Einstein 50W Head and Diezel 2x12 V30 rear loaded cab for over 3 years now.

It is the last amp I will ever need. :) I am sure you will enjoy it for a long time.

Well at the point I'm waiting as the guy cant ship it yet. He absolutely wants to go to an ups depot, i told him twice he could go for a home pick up but well.....Hes a teacher might have something to do with that...(Sorry if some of you are, no offense meant, just that here in France some often mean they know things better since they are teaching a bunch to others  :P)

Well the stage I is complete, rebell yell are dead on the eclipse. They're a good match and very pleasant to play rather than those emgs. I liked emg once in my life on a kh2 bolt on and even if I shall own one  once I'd go for nailbombs or a holy diver over those active i really can't stand.

By the way I'm getting an 1*12 orange v30 cab. I intend to get another 1*12 later, what speaker should i go for ? a g12k100 ? eminence ? EVoice ?

I'm sure you'll love your Einstein, we have a VH4 and it's awsome.

For cab combo we have a Front loaded v30 cab and a rear loaded hempcone cab (both diezel), the combo works great with the VH4, the V30's provide punch and the hempcones give width at the bottom end, some really fine detailing at the top end and they blend well in the middle.

Worth saving some pennies up and getting the new Dilingen made Diezel cabs if you can, expensive, but worth it.

G12K-100 all the way :)

I tried them out, great in a band situation doing precision metal or at lower tunings to cut through, but for balls-out type stuff v30s work pretty well! The Einie does balls-out very well. :D

The Herbert, though, is insane with the 100s.

Indeed, played for five mins, and it stopped...tried new preamp tubes, mixing them, other guitars, jacks, speaker cable and nothing works. More boring is sound is coming out but on a ultra low power with master gain and volume to max. The previous owner will pay a part of the reparation fees but still, dang ups !!. Each amp i get delivered it breaks within a couple of minutes or hours of use.  :(
