Title: Which pickup for LOUD Punk 'n Roll?

Hey i got hands on a single humbucker Gibson SG1. And i really, really like it to have an Extreme Rock 'n roll sound. Really Really growly & vintage. Imagine High on fire, Zeke, Wolfmother, the sword etc.

Black Dog should work, it has power, is full-bodied but still clearer than more compressed metal pickups. You still got to put the attitude in your playing though to make it sound raw and punkish though. ;-)

i agree - punk comes from the player. i would go with a riff raff, or possible a5 mule for a bit more girth.

i'm playing this style reasonably often - we need more punks here :)
