Well my old 88 Charvel M4 is need of a neck pickup and I'm looking into a BK as I may require it to be a little special...
The route is deeper than usual and without the bezel. So standard Fender or most Duncans don't fit in there (and I don't want to use a single coil sized humbucker or a Quarter Pounder). It would also require a straight-to-body mount.
Can BK make me a pickup that would fit in there..?

This is a Duncan Jazz in the bridge, so I wouldn't need a high output single coil. Something with a little more jangle maybe as this guitar is quite smooth, softspoken and mellow sounding. The opposite of RG style Supers!

You should contact Tim directly via email. He can rewind your original pickups with the specs that suit you (e.g. Irish Tours, is what I would chose for this, or maybe go all crazy with Sinners). Then they will definitely fit.

I don't have the original pickups anymore and they were fully sealed anyway, not workable easily... :(

Hm in this case ... what about fitting a pickguard?
Anyways, you should contact Tim, he knows what to do!

You can get custom BK single coils with an EMG style baseplate. I think these will fit.

Thanks guys, I'll try to call Tim. Not sure when's a good time to do so as I always finish work after 7 but I'm hopeful... :D

Hey do you guys know what the opening hours for BKP are and if I can call them on a Saturday..?
-
Tim used to make singles without the V but recently he has said that he prefers not to do so anymore as the pickup is weaker physically.
It isn't too hard a job for a good tech to recut the slots with a V so that any single coil will fit - I did this for Johnny Mac and a few other forum guys too.
BKP dont work Saturday and I think you can get hol of them 6easily 9-4pm (maybe 5pm) Monday - Friday

Thanks :) I'm always at work during these hours haha  Ah well... there aren't many techs in Luxembourg... Not heard of any in fact. Oh wait. One. Price for a fret levelling is 200 euros here. :/
I paid 45 euros to have 4 holes drilled in a guitar for a pickup ring...

Ouch!
That sounds expensive.......
Maybe I need to move to Luxemborg

Yeah... I remember paying Rod 80 pounds up in Edinburgh for a fret levelling/dressing on my Charvel M4 about... 5 years ago. And it was perfect. I miss Scotland...
Luxembourg is very expensive to live in in general as well. Salaries are adjusted but I'm not sure it's that much worth it!

I was kinda joking
I love London too much to consider leaving it

I sure hope you were  I'm still young and love to move about so it wasn't a big deal but for guitar and drum hardware, it's about as close to my toilets in terms of supply as it goes. I miss Scotland :(
