Title: Which pickup to complement Mississippi Queen in the bridge position?

I have a set of MQs in a Tele I built, and whereas I love the neck position, I find the bridge one a bit too harsh and honky and pretty dull clean. I want something more classic sounding, more open with less mids but also with equal output to compete. I tried a Mule but it was nowhere near powerful enough to compete, I don't want a volume drop when I switch to the bridge position, and that was with it wound right up near the strings. Suggestions?
