Take a look at this very early 60's Les Paul SG Custom clip .... not what you would expect  :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeaBNAXfHfQ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeaBNAXfHfQ)
Unusual guitar (Polar white?), unusual player (cool solo  8)) and unusual that the guitar appeared to stay in tune with the notorious side to side vibrola
and another http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xzr_GBa8qk&feature=related (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xzr_GBa8qk&feature=related) with a better view of the guitar and another cool solo  :D

...hmmm could it be early Jimi Hendrix in drag..???
I must confess I do like some Gospel

Cool vids. Almost more rock n' roll than gospel.

Just one of these usual "hey I show off my gear" videos.
Just she made the extra effort of getting the Choir behind :)

The guitar, the clothes, the setting, they're all so incongruous it's hard to get your head round it!  Great stuff.
I was surprised to find something naggingly familiar about that first song..... I imagine it must have inspired the lyrics of "Over My Head" by King's X, although there's no musical similarity.

Nice little Gibson amp too.  She seems to know that they stay in tune if you don't use the vibrola!

Such a funny mix. Black gospel momma in, what to me looks like, some kind of traditional African clothing and then a white SG - worn like an acoustic. The last part tops it all  :D
Really nice playing though.

I always love sister Rosetta, such a great player and she was playing these solos on national TV in the early 60s!
