Always wanted one of these are a bit of a marmite guitar.
Saw one in Guitarzone in Halifax....thanks Chris (also a bkp dealer), he'd taken in trade, so got for a good price.

Congrats, I love those Dan Armstrong guitars - would love one, but Guitar Guitar want £1200; which is a bit rich for me. Plus, if you're not keen on the pickup, its not like you can slap in your fave BKP.

Got this one with case and the 2 pickups in good nick for silly money...just couldnt pass it up...so sale time on other stuff *LOL*

Having just hada go on this gotta say that SG has got a bloody bargin! It sounds ace with the P90 pickup & going into an AC30, total Foo's. The guitar feels right when being played, it's nicely positioned & the weight is spread very evenly. The fingerboard seems very flat on them & quite wide as well, I'd guess at it being either a 12 or 14" radius...definitely not my kinda thing, but I can see why SG loves it, he was like a giddy school childd

and.....is ace
-
think is 12" radius 24 frett

Nice score :) Chris is indeed a top guy.
Is this one of the reissues?
-
2006- not sure how to date one with the better neck joint...strange chris sold orig then sold again after getting in trade *L*

I think this guitar looks very cool! :D Congrats

ah, made from the same thing as stripper shoes.... at least the original ones were
i love the bloody things
do they still offer the different pickups units?
-

His son kent will apparently make you any you want if asked.......dearnt ask price on that. Just worked out is 2007...and stripper shoes cool...I may just keep my clothes on though

What's the weight like???
-
lighter than my duesy prob about 7 lb..may be wrong will weigh later...is a very balanced guitar
-
erm just weighed it is 9.5-10lbs but very balanced didn't think was that much...may need new strap..wide one
-
I love that DeArmond you're selling btw - seriously tempted.

I was surprised when you said about 7lbs - I always though that Dan Armstrong (and any other lucite) guitars were pretty heavy!
You should definitely get a see through strap.

I'd like one of those. Looks so cool and with the funky pickup switching thing too. I've got an acrylic bodied Strat. Acrylic makes a surprisingly good "tonewood", lots of harmonics and sustain, strong, but natural mids, sweet highs and full and musical bass. Acrylic has one distinct advantage over wood, it's consistent. Out of every ten Strats or LP's I try I'm lucky if one pleases me. Bloody heavy though, mine weighs 12lb.

It's certainly one of those guitars which look the business, only very cool guitarists like Joe Perry, Keith Richards etc play them. And it's a small detail, but I love the headstock shape. :D
Not sure I'd want to actually own one, though. Even before I knew the weight!

HTH Pm'd

Lush. I've always wanted one of those.
