Rewound pups, to Nailbomb specs.
Slightly less output than "real" nailbombs.
Not as snappy on the bass clean, lacking a little bass volume on the clean channel.
On the gain channel they sound fine, but again slightly less volume.
Overall, very cost effective and a huge improvement over the re-issue Fender pups.

That looks mighty sexy!!!

Nope, I still don't get it :/

Oh drat!
I thought you'd like this one! :?

Roo doesn't like the bulbous bit

i like this.
id be interested in hearing it with the wide-range-bombs in it.
I like tele's now, but i think im too chubby to play one. I suit a les paul.
Dudes with massive muscles and tiny waists suit a tele......maybe.
-
LOL!!!
Workin' on the tiny waist part :D
-
i was in Roo's camp on tele's for ages. then a played a couple in vintage and rare, and ive played one at JPF amps.
I quite like the feel but im not confident enough to go out in public with it.
on tour, my mate Jake was playing one through my Soldano Avenger. It sounded cool. just a stock mex tele. single coils. he's a big dude. MMA fighter, works out. the guy can squat with me on his back, and im 100kg's. he suited the tele. no homo.
i imagine that tele with rewound pups is gonna surprise folks when you take it out.
EDIT: I do feel like an idiot going about about people suiting guitars

You surprise me! One of the reasons LPs feel uncomfortable to me is that thick, thick body on top of my big fat gut.... it seems to end up at a weird angle and my arms can hardly reach round it.
But looks don't matter for Tele players!

Played two sets with it yesterday, yeah it got a little attention!
Tim says 550k pots and .015 cap for the neck pup ought to perk it right up, going to give that a try.
First time with SS frets.
The initial attack on the note has a little glassiness like a single coil, pretty cool, I like it.
Other than that they sound like normal.
Also went to 10's in standard tuning, normally on a Fender scale I like 9's standard, 10's for half step or full step down.
Just a wee bit stiffer bending from like 12-17, but it feels like I can pick faster and cleaner.

I wrestle with LP's because of the different angle of attack from the neck to the body.

i know a bunch of people that dont like full body style les pauls because it makes their forearms hurt.
LP's with body chamfers like ESP's and such are preferred by those guys. strats where developed to be more ergonomic than the tele by players request so i guess the tele wasn't every players idea of a comfortable instrument.
everyone cares about looks when it comes to guitars, otherwise we wouldnt post pics of them up here and get excited about em.

I like what you have done with that guitar.

True, I meant the players' looks, not the guitars!
You're right about the ergonomics of Strats vs. Teles, I prefer Teles in general but I buy Tele bodies with Strat contours.
And yes, even a little bit of a belly cut on the back of an LP style guitar does make a lot of difference. I'd be very interested in things like Yamaha SG2000s and some of the ESP models, if there weren't other issues like weight and neck shapes...

people who saw the bottom horns off icemen care the LEAST.
RIP Pig Champion

Oh. I didn't know he was dead... though it's not exactly surprising. RIP.
