This may not be the right place, but does anyone know of and plug ins for Reaper's virtual instruments?
Since I have/am hopeless with keyboards, I've been hoping that there are some programs that can use a MIDI track to trigger keyboard sounds (like I do with Steven Slate's drum software).
And for the limiting bit: I'd much rather it be free, since I'm kinda skint now.
So, anyone know of anything that could do the trick?

I'm not sure what if any Piano samples are included but go to the Native instruments website and download Kore player and Kontakt player plus their factory selection sound banks. these are free and include a fair few sounds in different style but all of good quality.
Available from next week is Komplete 7 elements which for 70+ quid will get you an awful lot of stuff included a concert grand and other classical samples + classic and modern synths etc and a cut down Guitar Rig..

I'm a big fan of NI stuff, it's imo very reasonably priced and very usable.

Thanks - I already have the Kontakt player (came with my drum software), so I'll have a look at the soundbanks.
And those sound great Transcend, but paying isn't really an option right now I'm afraid.

you dont have to play you use it in the same way as you do steven slate
the native instruments vienne grand that i use loads up in kontakt player too.
I also think this is part of Komplete 7

Sorry, I ment PAYING - I don't have much money right now, so I can't really afford it.
For now I've gone with the factory selection from Native Instruments - looks like it should cover what I'm after for now...when I get it working. Reaper sometimes falls out with the drivers for the Line 6 Studio GX, which due to some computer problems is the only way I can get sound. So I can't tell if it's working or not 'til I restart the computer (which due to said problems takes ages), so I'll try again tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice guys - if it works there'll be some clips shortly.
