I'm planing to customise a guitar I'm getting near the end of the year. It's a single cut, with Mahogany body with a carved top and tummy cut, Maple neck with modern C profile, and glue in construction, a Ebony fretboard with 24 jumbo frets and a bone nut. The bridge is a string through Tune O Matic.
I've been wanting a set of Rebel Yells with the ray gun image for a while, and thought this will be the right guitar. The only thing stopping me was, how to use them without looking out of place. Then the idea came to my head, Marvin the Martian. I contacted an artist known as Svee with help of a friend, explained my idea and he came up with this design..

Besides the Rebel Yells, I'm thinking of getting a Fishman Powerbridge, and some Grover locking tuners. But back to the question. I'm pricing parts up, and wanted to know if there was an additional price for the ray gun laser etch. I want a calibrated set with black covers, and was wondering if it was a £10 or £20 charge for the ray guns...

I thought the ray guns etching was standard on the RY's - best to email Tim and ask.

Ooh - you're getting an Chapman ML2!
-
Yes I am, one of the 10 Southpaw (left handed) ML2's available. It's going to be epic, especially as Jaden of Jaden Rose guitars is building the prototype...

Mind me asking what it's going to cost and how much extra the special pint finish is
Have watched Chappers' vids with much enjoyment and nice to seeing it all take shape

Sure, the list goes..
ML2 Custom Southpaw (lefty) £429.99 - £450 (lefties might pay £20 extra)
- Includes Jim Dunlop Straplocks and a Hard Case.
Sveeart custom paint job £350 +
- Svee estimated £350, due to it being a simple job that won't suck too much time. Lengthy projects cost a lot more, please take that under consideration.
Bare Knuckle Rebel Yells calibrated covered set £220 (+?)
- Black with Ray Gun laser etch
- 50mm spacing
- 4 conductor wiring
- 1/2" Long leg mounting
Which one is more versatile, Potted or Unpotted?
Fishman Powerbridge
- Tune O Matic bridge £156
- Powerchip £76
- Battery box £10
Grover Roto-Grip locking tuners £95
- Chrome
Total £1336.99 - £1356.00
The ML2 custom shop won't charge for labour on most upgrades, but if the upgrade is quite labour intensive (scalloped fretboard) there might be a small charge..
