Right on. It's quite refreshing to hear a clip with just guitars and no soloing. Good job

Thank you. But the mission here is to simulate the hm-2 pedal. Which means a total warp of everything :) the miracle men could as well be a pair of alnico 2 humbuckers or a set of blackouts :S

HN2 tone is ALMOST there...  :P out of curiosity, what do you mean for "simulate"? is it POD stuff or such?

Its good, but not quite there....though I'm not familiar with the source material or what you want it to sound like, but for my money/imo theres a bit too much gain in the guitars, and clarity is suffering. Tonally it should sit well in a mix, perhaps with a bit less low end (and gain).

Consequentially (possibly, anyway), some of the parts arent doubled terribly accurately. But it is overall well played, just not quite nailed in some places.

Theres something thats not a valve clipping somewhere too - that buzzing sound that crops up from time to time. I'd say its a mic pre normally, but it sounds like a pod? (Que much laughter and telling me to $%&# off if its not!) so maybe its the DAW track or 2bus or line in or other.

Edit - sorry if thats harsh at all; just calling it how I hear it. It is mostly good.

Ah, well, I pretty much hated those sounds, and I hated the HM3 I had, and think that yours is better so....yeah, as you were!

the HM3 sounds like a fart... the HM2 sounds like an awesomely death metal evil fart from hell!  :twisted: i love that stuff!

i'm experimenting with mine to shape my amp's tone with gain set on 0, but i won't use it in my forthcoming recordings... the fact is that i'm just too happy with my ENGL tone and i don't want to mess things up!
