So! I need to finish the headstock in some way... thinking in Lindseed Oil... Any thoughts??
-
VERY NICE! Great woods. :D
-
Great looking neck!
-
Nice! :D
I've got a neck with a mac ebony board, and it looks completely different from that. Wood is wonderful stuff!
So what guitar's it for, Fernando?
-
wooooooooood!!
(not sure about your foot mate ;) )

FOOOOOT!! (didn't spot that at first... Do you smoke cigarettes with your feet or do you have a big toe infection?) :P
-
Very tasty, Fernardo - but I think you have a fungal nail infection starting...
;)
-
Very sweet!!!
I'd go for gunstock oil (what I got on my MusicMan)!

Gunstock oil will only make it worse.. I think he needs penicillin. :?

 You guys crack me up! Yes, I've a infection on my toe... the fingernail of it was taken last weekend and a Zombie's Attack came from the flesh under it, so I'm taking medicine, one of them is a Iodine 1% solution and looks like that weird...
About the guitar, I'm using it on the old Spalty Tele :D
Gonçalo Alves (sounds warm as Mahogany) + 24.75" scale + Piledriver + Tele = Pure win, I hope
Philly, this was a really "picked up" Mac Ebony, coasted me the normal price +US$85 for Unique Choice :?
Usually Macassar is darker with way less strakes...
And you guys need to see this Flamed Koa in real life, it's amazing! :D Hope I can get a more accurate pic when I finish the headstock!
Thank for all the comments guys :D

I've never ordered a "unique choice" neck, they're so expensive!
Here's mine. The stripes in the board really are "rainbow" colours like that, it looks quite amazing. I hope they don't fade!

Ah, you know me too well..... :(

That was a bit below the belt though!
Anyway - great looking neck there Fernando :D
Hope the toe heals soon - I know what toe infections can be like. I had ingrowing toenails on both big toes for years when I was young. It was very troublesome, painful and generally extremely yukky... Finally had them removed permanently when I was 14.
-
neck looks great, very tastefully done.
-
Very nice neck Fernando. I have a Goncalo Alves neck with a Kingwood fingerboard on one of my Tele's. The wood really feels great.

... maybe you should list your parts cupboard on here, PQ? I reckon you'ld get lots of interest (from me particularly...)
-
A cupboard? Surely a room :)
-
 I'm as guilty as Philly on this matter, but with me the problem is WOOD :o Have some nice exotic woods here that I think only myself have in all Brazil... Hope someday I can build some guitars with it :(

Neither really, just boxes scattered around all over the place....
I keep meaning to get rid of stuff, maybe just keep enough for a couple of Strats, a couple of Teles.... but it's so difficult to let things go!

You've got some serious issues mate... :?
Why don't you have a "lets build it" party where everyone brings a tool and you buy pizza and we put them together as a team! :P

You've cut me to the quick there Dave! :(
It's only a mild OCD of acquisitiveness combined with hereditary procrastination.
If it was getting me into debt or something, then there'd be cause for concern.
(Party's a good idea, but I don't have the space....)
-
Well, I reckon that you'ld be cheaper than Warmoth, so let me know if you're gonna have an Ann Summers stylee wood party...
-
No offence intended I'm only trying to provoke some action... You've got some great kit just sitting in boxes.
PLEASE let us help put it together sooner rather than later. :D

Where we'd all sit around drinking Lambrini and squealing "ooh, feel the thickness of that, I don't think I could handle it!" :?:

Well, summer's nearly over so I should be able to rise (a bit) from my traditional state of torpor and do something in the next month or two....

Sounds good!
"what do you use to lubricate your nuts?" :P

Great looking neck there Fernando.
