The guitar I want to switch the humbucker out of is a 1990 Jackson fusion USA model the stats on the guitar I believe are as follows; Poplar or Alder body I think poplar but im not sure.  The fingerboard is ebony.  Its a 24 3/4 scale neck.  Im looking for full sounding rock/metal tones; the pickup it has in it now just sounds to thin and sterile no character at all...  I already have a nailbomb in a similar guitar and it sounds great but I would like something new.  Suggestions?

What do you want from your new pickup that the Nailbomb can not deliver?

Its not that Im looking to find something the Nailbomb cant do I just dont think it would work well in this particular guitar as Poplar and Ebony make for a very bright sounding guitar and it may not compliment that ...I was thinking something like a Painkiller or maybe a Warpig.

Thought about checking out the Holy Diver? It's a lovely fat sounding pickup that's still tight and clear. Definitely a great choice in brighter guitars. Bags of character too, with an extremely vocal lead tone.

Yeah got a response back today from BK support and they suggested the Holy Diver also.  So I think Im gonna get a black/white zebra Holy Diver.

Would the correct options for this pick up on this guitar be 53mm, 4 con, short leg???

Yep, those would be the correct options. Let us know how you get on with it!
