Hi, this is my first post on the forums. I've got an Epiphone sg g400 (not the most prestigious guitar in the world but love it :). I'm looking for a vintage tone to play some bluesy rock style songs. The bridge could do with something with thick mids and bass, but not too powerful. I was thinking about The Mule myself. In the neck, maybe something a bit brighter. Would the Mississippi Queen go well with a Mule? All suggestions welcome.

Missisippi Queen would go very nicely with a mule or you might consider an Emerald in the bridge if you fancy something a bit beefier in the low and low mids region - the MQ would still match up nicely with that

Sounds good. Are there any humbuckers in BKP's range that are similar to the mississippi queen's style? I'm interested in the the brightness of a p90, but i do like the depth of a good ol' humbucker. I don't want it to be too twangy.

It's also to do with the looks of the guitar. I would like a pair of zebra open coils as i think they look sweet in sg's :D

How about Riff Raff's? Or for hotter performance, but still cleaning up well, a set of Rebel Yells? Neck-pickup is not too hot (8.3k).
